9 reasons why Friends is best sitcom ever

22 years back a girl ran from her wedding and entered a café with 5 friends sitting on a red couch, and rest is history.

Some say Friends series is like a melted cheese, it never turns old. While other compare the epic series with the wine. Older it gets, better it tastes.

Many teenagers that I have came across; imagine themselves as one of the characters on the show. Some want to spend the later part of their life, sitting on a brown couch sipping their coffee and listening to a smelly cat. Those people who don’t understand this should seriously need to get a life.

It’s been almost twelve years that the last episode aired on television. But there are still many television channels who re-runs it. Above the list is the channel comedy central, which has more TRP than many other series and still airs FRIENDS for more than two hours daily. That’s the level of impact those six friends have created.

It’s not only the cast who did it all, it was the team behind that brilliant cast, involving the directors, producers, cameraman. The show was perfect in all terms, and above all, it touched the lives of people more than anything.

Here now I list down ten things for which friends is still the best series that ever aired on television.

1. Where else would you get the song like Smelly Cat?

Ever thought about a song that is so ridiculously unsynchronized that you start singing it in the rhythm. Well, that’s the magic of Smelly cat. Performed by Phoebe time and again has become the second anthem of the show, first obviously being the title song, I will be there for you, by Remembrants. So if you enter a café, playing smelly cat, don’t be surprised.

2. Ever thought of having a daughter with your Ex who is still your best friend?

Ever wondered what could be one of the most complicated love stories of this planet. Liking a girl from your childhood, than parting away, marrying another girl, having a kid, and then a divorce and meeting your childhood crush on the day she runs from her wedding, falling for her, having break up with her, being friends again with her, and finally having a baby with the girl, but not married to her. Complicated? Hell yeah!!!

This is the beauty of FRIENDS, everything that happens to be most complicated performed so simply by the characters. The storytellers have put enough to keep it interesting.

3. You end up with someone whom you expect the least, same is the case with Monica and Chandler.

During the initial part of the series who would have thought, the couple who could stand relationships the least would end up together. Well, it turned out that “what happens in London, doesn’t stay in London”. It turns out to be one of the best love stories ever in the television history. Sadly though for them, they couldn’t have a baby together. Though, they end up getting a donor.

4. Ever wondered what it would be like if your best friend falls for the girl you are having a kid?

The directors made the friends face every freaking awkwardness they could ever think of. Joey, who is one of the guys who gets cozy with every girl he meets, what happens when he falls for a girl. However, it ended on a graceful note when they both decided not to take it forward in series ten.

5. Chandler and Joey friendship.

This is the reason I love FRIENDS. After watching the series all I ever wanted to have a friend like Chandler. Though, during the course of the show, we come across some great love stories. But what Joey and Chandler were to each other, it’s incredible. They always asked to hug to each other when something cute happened. It’s my favorite part of the show. Chandler stayed in a box to tell Joey that he was sorry.

6. Directors made it enough to outline daily life issues.

One of the major reason why FRIENDS turned out to be such a super hit was because it touched many people’s life. The directors and story writers made sure that they touch down every aspect of not only the friendships but also the real life issues. I remember sitting and watching the show and finding the solutions for my life.

7. You can never be too old for the story line.

I can still open my laptop and watch twenty episodes straight. Neither I am joking, nor am I the only one who could have done this. When it’s new happening in every next episode, why do you even want to stop watching the show?

8. The Guest stars.

As the show starts to progress, I always tried to make a guess that who would be the next superstar appearing. Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis, Christina Applegate, Tom Selleck, Paul Rudd, Julia Roberts and much more. When Brad Pitt came on the show it was a milestone. Why would not he, though? He dated Rachel Greene a.k.a. Jennifer Aniston.

9. Emmy’s Nomination.
All the leading costars have won Emmy awards for their roles in FRIENDS, which is a milestone in any TV series show. Jennifer Aniston has won the most Emmy awards counting to fifteen.

Who would have thought that a sitcom would be so famous that it is the most viewed series worldwide? It marked as starting of the era of sitcoms. Monica, Rachel, Ross, Joey, Phoebe and Chandler, these six people are part of the almost every group who are in their twenties or thirties. Who hasn’t fantasized living with their friends across the hall?

Really like an article? The best thing you could do is watch FRIENDS again.
