6 best foods to have in the breakfast

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. They set the tone and energy for the rest of the day. But if you are in your twenties and living away from the home for the job or for college, breakfast is one luxury that you probably don’t have. So what to have for breakfast that would be just perfect and give you energy for the rest of the day.

According to a nutritionist Erica Giovinazzo, Breakfast should be a combination of carbs and fiber with some protein. Here is the list of foods that would make you the best breakfast.

1. Oatmeal
Oats contain beta glucan, a kind of fiber that’s been shown to have lower cholesterol if eaten regularly. Oats is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, folate, and potassium.
So if you are someone who is on a bulky side and fear high cholesterol, well this one particular meal is for you. It takes about five to ten minutes to bake. Personally, I have admired Safolla oats. You can also choose from Quaker as well as the Patanjali oatmeal.

    2.  Greek Yogurt
Yogurt is another meal that gives you energy for the rest of the day. You can get a plain yogurt from the market and flavor it with the fruits you like by mixing them in a mixer. Personally, I would suggest not getting the flavored products directly from the market. The best part of having yogurt is it can be eaten anywhere you want to. You can carry the yogurt on your way to office or college.

    3. Wheat Germ
Wheat germ is the most energetic food you will ever come across. Two tablespoons of wheat germ can provide 15% of your recommended daily intake of vitamin E and 10% of your daily folate. You can stir it into your yogurt or sprinkle over the cereal.

     4.  Almond butter
This surely would be your favorite. It has 100 calories per tablespoon. Almond butter is easily available in the market and it tastes best with any kind of fruit that you want to eat. Don’t feel like buying it? Take 100gm of Amul butter, put it in a pan and add grated almonds, stir it, till it makes the paste. You got it. Do have almond butter with some drinks as it may be dry to your throat.

    5. Fruit Salad
Best time to have fruits is in the breakfast. If you are kind of a person who likes fruits, you should have it in the best time of the day. Strawberries, watermelon, bananas, grapefruit, kiwi, cantaloupe, raspberries are the best fruits that should be taken at the time of the breakfast. You can have each fruit separately and put names on each fruit for a particular day or you can have two fruits a day. It depends on you, but make sure you have a fruit on a daily basis.

       6.  Juices
Don’t like to eat fruits? Well, juices are another form of consuming the energies from the fruits. Personally, I am kind of a person who does not like to have fruits. What I make sure is to have a glass of juice daily. Cranberry juice and orange juice are my favorite picks for the breakfast.
