Monday's commute to Colleges and office-goers from NCR towns as all metro stations would be shut down until further notice, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has informed.
This comes amidst the Jat community leaders are threatening to enter the city in their row of intensifying protests over the quotas in jobs and colleges. Delhi Police has asked DMRC to wind off the trains at last station on Sunday at 11.30 pm. As many as 22 stations of NCR towns which include from Guru Dronacharya to Huda City Center, from Kaushabi to Vaishali, from Noida Sector 15 to Noida City Center and from Sarai to Escorts Mujesar.
Apart from the NCR stations, 12 central Delhi stations are also asked to remain closed with effect from 8 pm, Sunday.
These 12 stations include Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central secretariat, Lok Kalyan Marg, Udyog Bhawan, Janpath, Mandi House, Barakhamba Road, R.K. Ashram Marg, Pragati Maidan, Khan Market, Shivaji Stadium.
All the stations would be closed down until any further notice from Delhi Police.
Many colleges of Delhi University and other universities across Delhi would be reopening after a week-long holiday of Holi. It is expected many students would be facing difficulty as they return from the colleges. However, none of the university or colleges has declared any holiday.
