Ekonomiska, the annual Economics Fest of Maitreyi College is now in its 5th edition. It is one of the most dynamic departmental fests of the college, attracting students from different colleges and different departments.
A plethora of events, ranging from formal to filler events are organised in the fest. These events appeal to people from various departments, ranging from under-graduation to post-graduation.
This year the fest is on 23rd February 2017 in the college premises. The events include:
Theoria- The Paper Presentation
This event provides you a platform to highlight your opinions and knowledge about economically relevant issues. For those who aspire to be future economists, we offer you the opportunity to voice your innovative ideas, solutions and to sharpen your unorthodox reasoning skills in an effective manner.
Compete and compel with your researching prowess and take part in invigorating discussions related to current economic, social and political issues. Theoria is a platform for all those who are not afraid of getting in deep when it comes to research and to present their innovative ideas in an effective manner. It is a treat for those who want to expand their horizons beyond Economics textbooks.
Film-o-nomics
Economics is everywhere for us Eco students. This is the reason why we thought, Of applying economic theories to whatever we saw Be it films, TV series or Ads. We can explore them like 'Eco-mads'. So come on pirates, put up your masks. Thinking your best is your task! Out of the box, is where you have to be Browse them theories, surf the sea. Ekonomiska'17 brings to you our hot favourite, yet again. Filmonomics is back. Tumhara naam kya hai Basanti!? In this novel competition, each team will be shown a clip from which they have to derive an economic inference.
